Wild Rainbows
The Wild Rainbows LGBTQ+ group from Stay Up Late July 2018

I want to be accepted for who I am.
I have experienced hate crime.
Before I moved to Brighton I was discriminated against all the time.
I used to wear skirts and dresses but I don’t want to be picked on or threatened.
I tend to put a front on.
It’s fine if I’m with people I know.
It’s easier when people know who I am and see my personality.
It’s less worrying for me personally.I can be myself at home.
Festivals like pride help us feel accepted. It’s a bit more liberal.
We want to feel proud of who we are and be ourselves.
